MUKESH AMBANI OFFERS PRAYERS AT KEDARNATH AND BADRINATH TEMPLE ,DONATE 5 CRORE
Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani visited the sacred shrines of Kedarnath and Badrinath in Uttarakhand on Sunday, October 20, offering prayers at these revered locations.
Dressed in a traditional white kurta-pajama paired with a beige Nehru jacket, Ambani participated in the religious ceremonies.
Upon his arrival at Badrinath, Ambani was warmly welcomed by Ajendra Ajay, President of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC). As part of his annual pilgrimage, Ambani made a significant contribution, donating Rs 5 crore to the BKTC after offering prayers at both the Badrinath and Kedarnath temples. Notably, this year Ambani visited the shrines solo, in contrast to last year when he was accompanied by his family.
The temples, which see thousands of pilgrims each year, are set to close for the winter soon. The portals of Kedarnath will close for the season on November 3, at 8:30 am, on the occasion of Bhaidooj.
During the winter months, when Kedarnath remains covered in snow, Lord Kedarnath is worshipped at the Omkareshwar temple. Similarly, the Badrinath Dham will close for the winter season at 9:07 pm on November 17.
Other key temples in Uttarakhand are also preparing for their winter closure, including Gangotri on November 2, Rudranath on October 17, Tungnath on November 4, and Madhyamaheshwar on November 20. These closures mark the end of the pilgrimage season, as heavy snowfall makes the region inaccessible during the winter months.
